Study visit of an Azerbaijani delegation to the Austrian institutions

Within the framework of an EU Twinning Project, a delegation from Azerbaijan undertook a study visit to the Austrian Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAK), Austrian Federal Public Prosecutor‘s Office against Corruption, Bureau for Internal Affairs of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, special operations unit “Cobra”, and to the International Anti-Corruption Academy from 17 to 19 January 2011.

Trainings on practical issues in pretrial investigation, intelligence activities and work with courts

On October 12-13 nearly 40 prosecutors and investigators from prosecution service participated in seminars, which took place in Khachmas District Prosecutors’ Office. Seminars were focused on training of prosecutorial skills for pretrial investigation, intelligence activities and work with courts.

Twinning project report delivered to the European Commission

In May 19, a supervisory committee meeting on the Twinning program project “Support for the Anti-Corruption Department with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. During which the projects 3rd quarterly report was discussed and approved, alongside with discussed relevant issues related to the implementation of the project.

On April 5-11 five officers of Anti-Corruption Department with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ADC) visited Lithuania and Latvia. During the study visit ACD officers got aquainted with the activities of Lithuanian and Latvian anti-corruption agencies (STT and KNAB).

Anti-Corruption Department aims to be more open for public

During February 24 and 25 the officers of the Anti-Corruption Department with the General Prosecutor of Republic of Azerbaijan attended workshops on communication and public relations organized by the Special Investigation Service (STT) also involving the specialists of the Public Relations Department of the Latvian Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB).

International corruption cases investigation experience shared by the Lithuanian law enforcement experts in Azerbaijan

During February 10 and 11 the expert of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Lithuania arranged meetings with the Anti-Corruption Department with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan (herein – the Department) on international cases co-ordination and execution issues, discussed ways of cooperation with the Interpol, Europol and Eurojust institutions.

STT to continue Twinning Program project in Azerbaijan

The activity and financial report for the 1st quarter of the Twinning Project of the European Union titled „Support for the Anti-Corruption Department with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan“ carried out by the Special Investigation Service (STT) was confirmed on December 15 in Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan and Lithuania starts implementing the Twinming program project

STT will assist for Anticorruption Department with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of the Azerbaijan
