EU, Azerbaijan cooperate in anti-corruption struggle
The anti-corruption struggle is an important part of the EU-Azerbaijan cooperation , EU Baku Mission Head Roland Kobia said this week at a joint project with the Special Investigation Service of Lithuania.
“This project will contribute to the fight against corruption. Corruption is recorded everywhere, but it has different levels in each country. Recently we observe how corruption harms country, citizens and companies. The problem is that corruption and bribery has no boundaries, it is accompanied by negative consequences in each country. Events in the Middle East are evidnece to this,” Kobia said.
She said corruption creates a very serious problem, contributing to inflation and influencing on political and economic stability of the countries.
